There should also be a video tribute to Ronnie with video and pictures running all day, in between bands and such, that I will be putting together. Anyone with photos or video of Ronnie, get in touch with me or Craig and he can approve it, etc.

That's great Joe...If you need me to get together with TJ, PJ, Paral Wiley(Ron's Widow), you and anyone else with the video...I'm on it.
Had a family Labor Day BBQ on Sunday 9/2 over my Father's. I got the opportunity to spend the day with Paral, Katrina, and Randi(Ron's family)...we talked about this night and how wonderful it is going to be. These kids are wonderful children and all day long I saw my brother, Ron, in these kids eyes. It was emotional for me. Ron was always the music at the parties. He would have an empty stare and when someone turned the radio on, his foot would start and his eyes would possess a little bit different spark of life, you know. We'd hear a favorite tune and this would strike up a conversation...I miss him and always will. My fondest memories of Ron are those in which he would use nonverbal communication with his eyes and facial expressions...he would always make me smile or break out into uncontrollable laughter(especially at times when society deemed loud outbursts improper)....ie. church, funerals, wakes, sneakin'...
Well...it was a great and difficult and sad and happy and depressing day... ...just another day of life.
Thanks

Just in case anyone missed this from the front page:
09.07.07
The following is straight from T.J. As more information is received, it will be put in the "Shows" section:
"Hi Folks,
We have cemented the lineup for the Oct. 13th memorial show for Ron Holbrook of The Welch Boys. The venue is O'Brien's on Harvard Ave. in Allston. In no order, the bands are: The Blue Bloods, The Pug Uglies, Future Villain Band (Ron's high school band), The Beantown Boozehounds, Sonic Bomb, Death & Taxes, and The Welch Boys.
The show will probably start early, probably 5:00 or 6:00, with a barbecue out back at O'Brien's. Tix will be $12. There will also be a raffle for a guitar and a signed Red Sox bat. The profits of the show will go to Ronnie's two young daughters and their mother.
The Welch Boys appreciate everyone's participation in this event. This will be a special night."

There is a person that I work with that is in a band. They have asked if they could pay tribute to my Brother on this night, also. I said that I would run it by the Welch Boys.

In the tragedy of the loss of my Brother, Ron, I'd just like to say how truly amazed and thankful I am at how much goodness I have been witness to in people around me everywhere. People who did not necessarily even know my brother have moved me in ways I never thought possible. This world is truly filled with loving and caring individuals. Thanks folks...all of you.
And for all of you who doubt that the good do not outweigh the evil, take heart.
