hey. where did you all first hear this band? for me: was on the thorp records website looking at the band logos...seen a cool one and it said THE WELCH BOYS. Went to the band profile page and it had an mp3 for "sink or swim". Listened to it and the rest my friends is all a bee-yoo-tiful blur.

T.J. contacted me to do a music video. That was "617" and I've been "working" for them since.

I wanted to say a word about the Welch Boys members;
I recently lost my Brother, Ron and without getting into it here...Just wanted to say that these Guys were such great men and brought such comfort to my family and I in our time of loss. They continue to do so as they become a driving force to benefit his children by creating a venue to raise money for them on October 13,2007 @ Obriens Pub in Allston, MA.
It brings great comfort to us to know he had such great friends. You guys are the best.
Forever a Welch Boy Fan, Craig Holbrook

Is this still valid/true??
Punk rock is an anti-establishment rock music genre and movement that emerged in the mid-1970s. Preceded by a variety of protopunk music of the 1960s and early 1970s, punk rock developed between 1974 and 1977 in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, where groups such as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash were recognized as the vanguard of a new musical movement.
Punk rock bands, eschewing the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock, created fast, hard music, typically with short songs, stripped-down instrumentation and often political or nihilistic lyrics. The associated punk subculture expresses youthful rebellion and is characterized by distinctive clothing styles, a variety of anti-authoritarian ideologies, and a DIY (do it yourself) attitude.
